Road360 has been inspired by the efforts of the world to promote road safety and the need for public awareness. The power of the internet as an educational tool can not be disputed and the creation of a high quality information portal will compliment the sterling work that has been done by the Ministry of Transport to date. Our intention is to enhance and provide more information on other efforts from other stakeholders and participants to improve road safety.
It is the vision of Road360 to construct an effective road safety information portal to assist the following target groups:
• The Ministry of Transport and Infrastructural Development
• The Traffic Safety Council of Zimbabwe
• Road users
• Tourists
• Students and scholars doing research projects on road safety.
• Private business in a variety of industries including motoring, trauma and healthcare, legal and insurance companies
• Victims of road accidents and their families
The above vision will be accomplished through a process of information collection from many institutional and private contributors, and the assignment of the relevant information to specific accessible and educational units.
To promote road safety through public and private sector partnerships on Zimbabwe's road networks
We are committed to making our roads safer for everyone. We do this by providing information and resources, educating the public, working with policymakers, conducting research, and partnering with other organizations.
• We provide information and resources on road safety. Our website includes a wealth of information on the rules of the road, how to drive safely, how to walk safely, and how to bike safely. We also offer safety guides, checklists, and training courses.
• We educate the public about road safety. We conduct public awareness campaigns, school programs, and community events. We also produce educational materials such as brochures, posters, and videos.
• We work with policymakers to improve road safety laws and regulations. We advocate for changes to traffic laws, improve road infrastructure, and reduce speed limits.
• We conduct research on road safety issues. We study the causes of road accidents, develop new safety technologies, and test new safety measures.
• We partner with other organizations to promote road safety. We work with government agencies, law enforcement, schools, and businesses to make our roads safer for everyone.
